Brian K. Fields is a lifelong resident of Letcher County with experience in corrections, criminal justice, education, and behavioral health. He began his career as a Correctional Officer and later served as a Case Manager within the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Brian holds associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in Criminal Justice and has spent more than a decade helping prepare future criminal justice professionals.
In addition to his education and corrections experience, Brian holds certifications in CPR/BLS Instruction, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Assessment, Anger Management Instruction, and many other professional areas related to public safety, rehabilitation, and workforce development.
Brian is running for Letcher County Jailer to bring professionalism, transparency, accountability, and positive change to the jail while maintaining a safe environment for staff, inmates, and the public. He is committed to raising standards, improving operations, and serving the citizens of Letcher County with integrity, fairness, and respect.
